Mira Popović rođena je u Beogradu, gde je diplomirala novinarstvo na Fakultetu političkih nauka. Na trećem stepenu studirala je komunikacije u oblasti politike, kulture i umetnosti, najpre u Parizu (na Sorboni), a potom u Beogradu. Živi u Parizu. Godinama je bila dopisnik jugoslovenskih i srpskih medija i nastavila je da piše za beogradsku štampu o kulturnim i književnim događajima u Francuskoj. Bavi se i prevođenjem s francuskog na srpski jezik. Autor je zbirki priča Beograd Pariz (Beograd, 2007) i D’une terrasse à l’autre (Pariz, 2012). Privržena kratkoj prozi, svoje priče i prevode priča francuskih autora – među kojima su Le Klezio, Filip Delerm, Ani Somon – redovno objavljuje u srpskim književnim časopisima.
